The Covenant Path is back!
The Covenant Path is a forty-mile, five-day, four-night backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail, during which we will focus on following the Savior and our prophet's invitation to walk the covenant path. Each day will have a scriptural theme based on Jesus Christ's teachings and example and there will be readings to complete before departure and during the week. Each evening will include fireside discussions, personal reflection, and journaling about what we experienced that day and how we can use those experiences to draw closer to the Savior.
Each day we will hike an average of eight miles, with about two thousand feet of elevation gain. Each participant will pack all their supplies and we will sleep in tents. You should be in good physical condition and capable of hiking 6-8 hours each day.
The trip will not cost anything but you will be expected to provide food and other incidentals for yourself (rain poncho, mug, eating utensil, bug repellant, flashlight, etc.). More expensive items such as backpacks, sleeping bags, etc., if you don't have access to them, will be provided to you. You will receive a complete packing list if you are accepted into the course.
Brother Williams will be leading this experience. If you have questions before signing up, come visit him or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
